Moretonhampstead Development Trust Seeks New Trustees to Help Shape the Future of the Community
Moretonhampstead Development Trust (MDT) is actively seeking new trustees to join its board. As a key driver of community-led projects and initiatives, MDT aims to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of local residents by supporting social, cultural, and environmental programs, including Wellmoor and Green Hill Arts. With several important projects on the horizon, the Trust is looking for individuals with a range of skills, experience, and backgrounds to help guide the direction of its work and strengthen the Trust’s commitment to serving the community.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for trustees who are passionate about supporting their community and have skills or experience in areas such as:
Community engagement and development
Financial management or accounting
Governance, legal or compliance expertise
Fundraising and securing grants
Health and wellbeing programs
The Arts
Environmental sustainability
Communications, marketing, and social media
While prior experience as a trustee is not required, we are seeking individuals who have a strong commitment to making a positive impact, are willing to dedicate time and energy, and possess a genuine passion for community development.

Communications Coordinator role – 7.5 hrs per week – £12.75 per hour PAYE
Start date: week commencing 8th January 2024
As a Communications Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing our communication strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across various channels. From internal communications to public relations, you will be an integral part of the team maintaining a positive and cohesive image for The Trust and Wellmoor.
This role is for someone who is methodical and organised but also passionate about the local area and wants to be part of a team dedicated to making a difference to the community of Moretonhampstead.

Office Administrator role – 20-25 hrs per week – FT equivalent from £24,000
To ensure the smooth running of the Trust group and be the central point of contact; we are ideally looking for the office administrator to be in the office 20-25 hrs spread over 5 days.
This role is for someone who is methodical and organised but also passionate about the local area and wants to be part of a team dedicated to making a difference to the community of Moretonhampstead.
Deadline 5pm on 15th March 2023. Invitations to interview will be sent out by 5pm on the 17th March. Interviews are planned for 20th/21st March at the Trust office. The appointed postholder will preferably commence duties in April 2023.

Arts Officer role – 7.5 hrs per week – FT equivalent from £24,000
Working with the Green Hill curator to develop and manage the work of Green Hill Arts, so that it continues as an artistic success. Reporting to the Trust development manager and the relevant board member (to be appointed as current Arts trustee is stepping back from this role).
Deadline 5pm on 15th March 2023. Invitations to interview will be sent out by 5pm on the 17th March. Interviews are planned for 20th/21st March at the Trust office. The appointed postholder will preferably commence duties in April 2023.
